The Junior Achievement of Mississippi-James E. Fowler Business Center building is located off Interstate 55 just one block east of the High Street exit in Jackson, Mississippi. You'll see our American flag just after you pass the Herrin-Gear Autoplex. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. From this statewide office, Junior Achievement programs are administered throughout 78 counties in Mississippi. In the Auditorium of the Business Center, volunteer business men and women receive extensive training to prepare them to deliver Junior Achievement's premier economic educational programs to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade.
The Chairwoman of the 2006-2008 statewide Board of Directors is Sister Dorothea Sondgeroth, President of St. Dominic Health Services, Inc. In recognition of her distinguished career and ministry in health care and her selfless community service, Sister Dorothea was inducted into the Mississippi Business Hall of Fame in 2006.
In December 2007, Scherry Gilliland, was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Junior Achievement of Mississippi, Inc.
