PURPOSE: The proceeds from this event will go to support Junior Achievement of Mississippi educating young people on the value of free enterprise, business, entrepreneurship, personal finance, as well as career direction in order to improve the quality of their lives.  JA works with area schools to bring real world examples to students, opening their minds to their potential by bridging the business and education communities.

 

     WHY SHOULD YOU GOLF WITH JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT?

 

v     This is an excellent opportunity for business development between team sponsors and their guests. Sponsors can be assured they will receive a complete client/customer day of fun and excitement!

 

v     It’s a great team/camaraderie building event that can be used to bring management and non-management together in a positive venue. 

 

v     Team members can win great prizes and derive satisfaction from knowing they have helped young people become better prepared for their future in the workforce.

 

FORMAT: A Four-Man Scramble

 

SCORING: Scores will be tallied by the Club's Golf Professional by calculating the team scores and ranking them by lowest score. (Handicaps will not be used in tallying of score). Each player may purchase one set of Mulligans for $20 dollars (one set includes 3 Mulligans). Senior Citizens age 65 or older will be allowed to tee off from senior tee box. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place will be awarded at the awards ceremony immediately after the game.

SPLIT-THE-POT: Tickets will be sold for $5 dollars and the winner splits the pot with Junior Achievement. Door prize winners will be chosen from Split-the-Pot tickets. CASH PRIZE!!!

 

“PICK YOUR HAND” POKER – Entrance into the game will be sold for $5 dollars. Each player receives one playing card at registration. On each Par three you will receive an additional card and if you land on the green a second card will be given. You will choose best poker hand out of nine (9) possible cards. Information on what makes a good poker hand will be available at the registration table.
